#1
Was this game, at Knowle & Dorridge, a SEC game or "just" a friendly? Anyway as i was in the area anyway this morning i watched for an hour or so, took my Mum to see her first live cricket ever! (She is only about 150 or so).

Nice little ground actually.

A SEC game Windy. I went for the last session today. Warwickshire lost by 25 runs, really represented quite a fight back by the lower order. At tea we were 267/6 with Choudry on 54 and Mcleod on 16. Choudry fell soon after tea and it was really left to the impressive Paul Best with able support from Naquash and I think Montgomery to get us to 357. With Best the last man to fall on 43.
Some info:

Piolet: He was spotted by Piper and Abberley during a SEC game at Sussex. He impressed with his batting but told us that he was going nowhere with Sussex so we offered him a trial. What they didn't realise was that he could bowl. As we saw yesterday hes an intelligent medium pacer that has the ability to swing and changes his pace. He hasn't had much opportunity to have time in the middle because hes been away on first team duty.

Best: Apparantly started out as a batsman who bowled left arm seamers but he converted to left arm spin and shows a lot of promise.

I thought it might be a SEC though the official site says friendly which i thought was a bit odd.

Ashley started out as left arm seamer then turned to spin. So here' hoping Paul Best does as well.

Ashley started as left arm seamer and turned to spin so here's hoping for Paul Best.

Is that an accidental pun?
