2009 Membership Packs
#1
Got mine in the post today, here's what's included in brief:

Junior Bears is £45 and there's a new Associate Membership which is £50 with a Pay as you go for matches. Family membership is £225 with the Full membership being £150.

New Season Passes are available too with a full season costing £100, a classic season (full season minus twenty20) at £75 and a Twenty20 pass costing £40. However you don't get the members benefits with these passes.

Student membership has gone, I suppose they reckon the Associate Membership will cover that.

Got mine today too,but noticed no easy pre ticked renewal option. It seems as if one and all must re apply to become a member.Just a little odd and i'm sure we will have more in depth analysis from some of our more vociferous charges

I'll have to get my pack before a full comment.

I cant remember what the price of family membership was last year - so I cant compare any increase with a rapidly dropping inflation rate ???

With the Ashes tickets sorted perhaps the £ 100 ticket is the way forward. I'll have to read the detail and wait for the fixture list (last year was appaling).

Perhaps we are nearer to the end of membership ?

No urgency - when are they bringing out the £ 65 membership ? May ??

I can't seem to see how much this "pay as you view" would be though i assume it would be the normal ticket price. I might just get a classic season pass and give up on the membership, i never vote and usually sit in the Hollies anyway.

Has the county membership discount gone..... not that I ever claimed it.

It will be interesting to see the split between those who pay £ 100 / £ 75 and the full £ 150 ?

I shall now go to ground on horseback to complain!

Can't see the extra charge for starting a new membership, i'm glad that has gone.

No, it looks as thought the Country member category has been withdrawn. We have always had this option, as we live in Stratford, and don't get the chance to watch midweek cricket. It has always offered fairly good value for us as long as there are enough Sunday matches.
I suppose we will opt for the Classic season pass, but this will cost the same as this year and without access to the Twenty20 matches. Not such good value, and no member benefit.
So, without prior knowledge of the fixture schedule, our membership will lapse as of this year. Shame, but don't appear to have much option.

I suppose, in truth, the £ 65 May maddness of last year was always going to redefine membership. Pandoras box opened early and the Ashes tickets sold via the Touts charter.

I think I have 3 options - Full member at £ 150, Full Season at £ 100 or wait and see what offers come out...... the fall back position being to pay to go to games and buy a T20 season ticket.

Interesting the JB price is now one option at £ 45 but inlcudes a T20 finals day ticket. I suppose Mummy and Daddy Bear would be able to buy early one too so that they can sit with JB late into the evening - even if they arent members :001_rolleyes:

Interesting package that redefines membership - but I await the fixture list. I dont want to see the home games all in April, September or the last week of June.

Membership benefits look really thin:

Right to vote - on what?

Reduced rates on int tickets - what tickets?. The 2009 ashes were sold last year.

Priority booking period - for tickets already sold - see above.

10% discount on merchandise - have you seen the merchandise?

Club news, competitions and offers - there's more news on here in a week than anything the club issues in 6 months, what competitions and offers?

By the way, love the consultation on quite significant changes to membership.

At a members club.

I wonder if this was based on research - or, again, on one man's idea of how things should be?
