No, we won the toss and elected to bowl.  So, if the teamseeet is correct, they are dropped for the Firsts !

Play-Cricket (live.nvplay.com/ecb) who posted that teamsheet was totally wrong.  Bear4life posted a Twitter teamsheet, which seems spot on:-

Pollock
Oxley
Mousley
Lamb (again missing out on our First team squad.  It can't be form, it must be because of the injury knock he's supposedly carrying - but that hasn't stopped him scoring - or bowling - for the Seconds !)
Mellor
Thomson
Milnes
Miles
Panayi
Zafar Gohar
E. Brookes
Garrett

Getting stuffed again - Notts on 195 for 2.  The only bowlers showing any ability are Milnes & Garrett - TM particularly (11 - 4 - 29 - 1).  Miles (in the first team squad for Surrey !) is getting completely tonked, at nearly 7 an over !

Ethan Brookes has done well, getting 2 wickets in his first second team game of the season.
While Robert may be dead, Robert was not all Mugabe's.
There are GOOD Mugabe's
It is Warwickshire County Cricket Club!

Yesterday evening, Notts declared on 409 for 8 - 3 wickets for Brookes, 2 for Milnes and 1 each for Miles (93 runs hit off him in 17 overs !), Garrett and Panayi.  Zafar (15 overs for 29 runs) and Thomson (13 overs for 21 runs) bowled some very economical overs, but no likelihood of a wicket (we never seem to find a Seconds wicket that takes spin, to test potential newcomers out).

Today, there was an early rain delay and some interruptions after Tea, but we finished on 189 for 3.  Again, Lamb was the pick of the batsman, finishing on 67 NO, but Thomson (batting at 3 !) got 38 and Mellor is 23 NO.

I still can't understand why Lamb is considered fit for (consecutive) Seconds 3 day games, but SUPPOSEDLY is not fit for First team 4 day games.  His scoring record in the last 4 weeks is remarkable, yet he doesn't even feature in the First team squad (when Rhodes, Hose, Yates and Banks are struggling to get into double figures !).

Lamb finished on 101 - his third century in 4 games !  Mellor got 37, Zafar 26, Miles 30 and Milnes 33 - we ended on 349 for 9 dec.

Notts had a stab at a Second innings - and the drawn game finished with them on 64 for 3 (2 wickets for Brookes, 1 for Panayi).  The 'injured' Lamb was bowling again at the end !

Lamb got 3 for 13 in 5 overs bowling and 62 NO in 42 balls batting for Barnt Green, against Kidderminster in the Birmingham League yesterday.  As The Good Mugabe observed, Management must think he is clearly still injured then and not fit enough to be in the First team for Notts tomorrow!!
