Or rained off!  And of course, we still have to beat the Pears - about time for that!

Another 200 knocked up against us and Josh makes us wonder have we made a mistake letting him go

Either Elliott has put some money on how many times he can put a side into bat and watch them score 200+ or he really is a complete idiot who does not learn from past mistakes. I'm absolutely dumbfounded that he wanted to chase yet again. Goodbye Grant, glad you're retiring.

Wow, harsh. People have short memories, he won us quite a few games last season.

EB It's this season that counts and he has been a complete let down. Surely when you win the toss you way up conditions before deciding to bat or field. Funny how when we have lost the toss the opposition decide to bat first!!

Can those who have seen the games explain the reason we have had to chase over 200 so many times

Elliott's figures last season were nothing special but it is not just him. Lack of penetration in the powerplay means if you are not taking wickets, the opposition relax more, don't have to have a period of consolidation and can play more shots. The games where we have conceded big totals, we have done nothing in term of dismissals in the first 6 overs. There are some poor sides in this group and Notts who have gone through, lost to us twice and looked very ordinary. To lose to Derbyshire is bad enough but Leicestershire is just tough to take. Worcester are a bunch of trundlers who we have always made look good despite them never doing anything in this competition. Why didn't Rankin play again after looking good. We will not take wickets early if our 'Pace' bowling is De Grandholme, Elliott, Thomason and OHD. When we have Wright, Rankin, Sidebottom, Barker, Stone all not playing it makes me wonder what the strategy is. Yes, we know they can all be expensive but you know there's a much better chance of wickets early on.
