Middlesex at Lords

Sibley failed again. Does he really justify continuing as an opener? Shame Bell got a zero as well. Interesting afternoon ahead.

3 down already. It would help if Sam Hain made a useful contribution for a change-been a long time since he got a decent score.

It’s not looking too promising! Two ducks right at the start of an innings rarely leads to a successful run chase!

Have faith - OHD to score a half century to see us home! Biggrin

There are players in the side who appear to be undroppable

That's a bitter disappointment. Absolutely chucked that one away.

Lamb averages 50, Sibley averages 18, Hain 21. On what basis is the team selected? Huh

Sibley needs to be dropped or dropped down the order

I saw 2 of the 3 days and I am disappointed! I thought Chris Woakes had a game to forget - actually, Ed Smith sat a few rows in front of me for a complete session and saw Chris W bowl some poor stuff. I wonder if that will afffect his selection for the test team?

I’m also stunned that we had Middx at 76-7 in the first session yet managed to lose in less than 3 days. I don’t blame anyone, I’ve just got some questions:

Barker was on paternity leave, but where was Stone?
Lamb and Hose seem to be forgotten men, should they be recalled?
Is Sibley an opener?
Why was Poysden loaned out to Yorkshire?
I’d like to see Liam Banks given an opportunity.

Anyway, onwards and upwards!
