The Bears
#1
For someone like me who remembers all the controversy about the creation of the Birmingham Bears, it seems like deja vu all over again down here in Bristol.
The decision to re-name the local rugby team the Bristol Bears hasn't gone down well:

The Bristol logo seems similar to the Birmingham Bears logo, though a bit less fierce.
It hasn't helped that the domain name bristolbears.co.uk is owned by a Bristol gay club.  Don't ask me how I know, I just do!
Anyway, maybe there's scope for a link-up (between the Birmingham and Bristol sports teams, not the gay bar).

At least they are retaining their original name i.e. Bristol which is the big objection in Warwickshire.

Is it? More people watch the Birmingham Bears than WCCC.

Doesn't prove they like the title. And do they chant Birmingham, La La La or Warwickshire La La La? And are there any banners supporting Birmingham Bears?

What's the membership for WCCC now? Down to 6,000? How many of them pay the full price?

It is time to split the membership... Red ball, T20 or both. Surely a win win for all?

T20 fans are narrow minded LE, it's what attracts them to all the gimmicks set out before them
