Ben Stokes situation
#1
Seriously confused - (1) ECB has decided Ben S can now play for England...even though CPS decide the case is so serious it goes to Crown Court, yet (2) he doesn’t even have to appear in court? (3) and is allowed out of the country. How come?

2) first crown court hearing will just be to set date for full hearing.
3) Obviously high profile so not likely to be able to disappear and has reason to return to the UK

As for 1) can anyone work out the logic of the ECB's thought processes?
While Robert may be bad, Robert is not all Mugabe's.
There are GOOD Mugabe's
It is Warwickshire County Cricket Club!

As I've said before, I simply cannot see the logic that says he can't play for England pending charges but can play after he's been charged. I believe Mike Atherton is saying something similar in The Times today.
