Can't say I'm happy but 92% is fairly conclusive!

Let's see what unfolds.

To be fair after the initial letter they handled it pretty well.

The forum was a revelation. Sensitively handled and well argued. I can't remember precisely the show of hands but it must have been close to 90 per cent in favour that night.

Hoping a few lessons learned through this which is good practice anyway.

I may be wrong but I suspect that some of the early negative reactions on this forum acted as a wake-up call to the Club who went all out to get the communication right from that time on.  So that's a plus for Bearsfans.
As I've said before, it's important that, from here onwards, if we as members want to have a real say in things, we find some credible candidates to put forward for election and back them.

Thanks Terry
Do you know how many members voted?
I hope you are right about the future but I think you are too optimistic.  In future the board can appoint 8 out of 10 on board members with two others coming from the members' committee AND the members' committee is another self  - appointed body.  "Finding candidates and putting them forward for election" is the language of a by - gone era.

The only number I've heard was in the members' forum when Norman Gascoigne said about 5,000.

Just throwing a pebble in - What is stopping the 8 board members voting to move WCCC to Portland Road and selling off Edgbaston for a housing development?

When Norman Gascoigne was talking in his interview with me about a special resolution needing support from 250 members or 5% of the membership, he said that 5% would be slightly higher than 250, which presumably means that membership is just over 5,000.

That seems a nice healthy rise. Two years ago i seem to remember it was just over 4000. Didn't go to the AGM as was away, was there any thing of inrerest said, like was there a Q and A with any players coaches, or any news on the devolpment along the Pershore Rd

There's a small item on the Warwickshire website plus it says:
"The full minutes of the 2018 AGM will be published on warwickshireccc.com in the coming days and details of how members can seek election onto the Members’ Committee will be communicated in due course."
