·         Jeetan Patel will captain the Bears in the Specsavers County Championship and Royal London One-Day Cup
·         Dom Sibley named Vice Captain
·         Grant Elliott will continue as Birmingham Bears captain in the T20 Blast

Congratulations Jeets! Much deserved as he has been our most consistent performer for a number of years and certainly has the passion to lead.

Sibley as VC is interesting, they clearly see him as a future captain.

An excellent choice who will hopefully get all the lads back to where they need to be! Although I am surprised about Dom Sibley being vice captain considering he is basically new! But be great for the younger guys to have their say. 
Also great to see Grant will be coming back as I thought he was a great player last season and was integral to our T20 success. Giving some new hope for next season...

I am happy with this decision but i thought next year was going to be his last, unless he has decided to do an extra year. Otherwise should they not have appointed someone more long term? In interviews with Neil Snowball saying Trott was very proud to be captain i did think it was going to be Trott as captain which i would of been happy with as well.
