That is correct, but the table is just a statistical tool to more accurately show the players contribution, as an example a player scoring 300 from 6 innings would have a "basic" average of 50, which looks good, but if 240 of the runs were from a single innings, his "net average" for the remaining 5 innings is just 12, which is significantly less, but more accurately reflects his contributions to the teams score.

As I said before, it's just a method to help analyse the raw data to get more information about performance.

I never said our averages looked good this season. Some of them are horrific!
While Robert may be bad, Robert is not all Mugabe's.
