Preview and squad:-

I would guess that the only change from the Worcester game could be Olly Stone for Boyd (who hardly has justified his inclusion recently), now he's fit - though even OHD has had a good couple of weeks and could come back ?

OHD to Hales. People would pay good money for that!

That could be like the Roman amphitheatre and throwing the Christians to the lions. Cruelty as entertainment!
(PS - he might just bowl him first ball)

The most negative team in the competition vs the most expansive
Not going to end well is it?

Fourth place isn't so bad for the most negative team in the competition. Wait until 20 overs are done and then pass judgement maybe?

My judgement will not change whatever the result.
I want the Bears to win but Bell puts us on the back foot every innings and then we are chasing our tails.
Be happy to eat my words by the way.

But it's a team sport? Bell is out of form admittedly but we all know what he's capable of. He had some good innings early in the competition.

Bit harsh, 'the most negative team'. Not some of the games I've seen recently. You sure you're not a Pears fan masquerading as a Bear!!!!

Ok most negative team a bit harsh, accepted.
Bell hurts the team in this format though. Good start today would have seen a total of 200ish.
It is a recurring theme and he should stand down for a couple of games for the good of the team.

I do agree about Bell though. Would be nice to free him up from the responsibility and perhaps give Jeets a go at being Captain next year.

Unfortunately he does seem to. The fact that I do not like him and so many of the Notts team makes it worse. It's such a tight group that it looks as though it will go down to the final set of games.

A win against Durham (who seem to have finally found some sort of form) is crucial.

Picked the right batting lineup today.
CDG lower down the order and Pollock starting. Even though bell did not drop himself, he did realise what was needed.
It can rain on Friday now and that should see us through!

On Radio WM they did seem to think we might need stronger bowling v Lancs as we do seem to have a habit of either not finishing off a side when they are 'Down' or just conceding too many runs at inopportune times. Barker didn't play but can be hit or miss, same with OHD, England have nicked Woakes and Rankin would be fine if someone could just get it into his head to bowl full and not half way down the pitch. A great win today and it does seem as though we produce our best form away from home.

Another match winning innings from Ed Pollock, his second in just 5 games.
The updated average make interesting reading, and show the contribution to the improved performances made by Pollock, Hose Thomason and Sibley.
While Robert may be bad, Robert is not all Mugabe's.
There are GOOD Mugabe's
It is Warwickshire County Cricket Club!
