A strong second team for the game against N'hants, with three England test players involved.

Warwickshire 2ndXI won the Championship match by an innings and 71 runs after bowling Northants 2ndXI out for 131 in the second innings.

Australian-born trialist Ryan Sidebottom, who is playing for Berkswell in the Birmingham League, took all 6 wickets to fall today to finish with 8-33 and 10-59 in the match. This follows his 5-54 in first innings of Championship match and 5-11 in a t20 game at Durham last week. I hope that the Bears management are preparing a contract offer for him as his mother is English and he seems to have the potential to become a wicket-taking opening bowler for the first team in Division 2. He is 27 years old so seems to be in the best form of his career, having taken 45 wickets in 16 matches for Carlton in First Grade cricket over the winter.

Chris Wright took the other two wickets with the new ball yesterday and finished with 2-26. Chris Woakes bowled 8 overs for 18 runs after taking 2-35 off 7 overs in the first innings. Ollie Stone 8 overs for 32 runs and Matt Lamb 3 overs for 7 runs.

Yep, good news about Woaksey back bowling - and Olly Stone.  But this Ryan Sidebottom is a revelation - if he is only on trial at the moment, we must sign him up (before anyone else does !).

He has also played 2 matches for Notts Seconds and 1 match for Northants Seconds, this summer - so they'll probably know how good he is as well !
