Also I think if the golf had produced a British winner it might have been different. I agree the bbc are too pc and give paraplegic athletes too much attention. I couldn't possibly watch wheelchair tennis for instance but I think womens sport should be on equal footing with mens sports. I would rather watch womens tennis than mens tennis not because of what they look like but because I find it more interesting. Anyway you don't get all the fancy dress and barmy army crap with womens cricket. although that will eventually change.

i would have thought that 99 million of those were in India! But i agree with most of what you say, thanks for the well constructed point of view rather than just calling me an idiot.

I'd be happy to see anything that can keep golf off the headlines except over-rated football. The women cricketers do have a bit of an advantage over the men as it seems only they and Australia seem to be any good at the game but with India eliminating Australia, that can only be good, not just because it is Australia. Either way, they are worthy of praise and it's a pity Anya Shrubsole didn't teach Ben Stokes how to bowl Yorkers, then England's men might have won the last T20 world cup instead of the show-pony West Indies.

I have to totally disagree with you with regards disabled athletes sports - not enough coverage in my opinion. As for wheelchair tennis I saw what little there was from Wimbledon and found it more exciting than the show  court finals. The disgrace was that the winners received their trophy not from the Duke of Kent or the head of LTA but his assistant - all done on one of the out courts. As for women's tennis what a slow paced bore that was - nice knickers though (that's for you, Stingray!)

Seriously though, next time disabled athletics is on TV try watching - this time look at the Ability rather than the disability.

Would never call anybody an idiot. For one thing it breaks forum rules and another I have no right to do so. We all have different views and we should respect that no matter what they are.
