He showed exactly how to play when your team is on the back foot & fighting to save the game, took an unplayable delivery that kept low to dismiss him

No real complaints today, we showed a lot of fight and Trott, Barker and Singh were excellent, as was the skipper in the second innings (I will draw a veil over openers)........... we just need the rest to come to the party and show some guts, we cannot rely on the weather to save us, which would be far more than we deserve.

But it really does need sorting out.

Some may see my words as harsh but I feel we are a disgrace currently

Nothing disgraceful about today's performance

Thanks to the leadership of one man in effect, with great support from Barker, who for me has never been under scrutiny for his efforts, and the youngster Singh who is absolved of any blame this season as he has had no part in it until now. Better from Bell in the second innings also.

I was not merely talking about yesterday in isolation, as I am sure you understood, the season as a whole has been utterly abject and, given the ability, even if ageing in many case, we have under performed massively which is why I used such a harsh term as I had no other way to describe it really.

Rock bottom of the RL One Day Cup table, a point from the bottom of the Championship table. They need to take a long hard look at themselves.

Hopefully the weather in Hampshire mirrors that in the Midlands right now and we can eek a draw out of this one.

Trotty soon follows  Cry

I fear the rain may arrive shortly after we have been skittled

Hain falls again. 5 down now. Outlook is bleak

We got a winning draw against Somerset, be nice for them to show some resolve and earn a losing draw here.

Local forecast is for rain to start around 3pm, then on and off for a while and then from 4pm it will set in for the day, we need to dig in for another hour or so after lunch ........... which does not look likely. At the moment it is cloudy with bursts of sunshine, certainly not looking like rain yet.

Strong wind down here so I suspect they will initially be on and off for a while, before the rain finally closes in ........... fingers crossed either I am wrong or we can dig in for while with Rankin and Singh supporting Barker.

All on Barker now, which is yet again massively unfair on him.

Or maybe we should have Handels "Water Music"

Looking at the radar, I'm hopeful that there'll be more rain within 15-20 mins or so. Chance it may skirt the ground though.
