Just mentioned in the commentary that Trotty wasn't at the ground, for part of the day yesterday due to a "family emergency".
While Robert may be bad, Robert is not all Mugabe's.
There are GOOD Mugabe's
It is Warwickshire County Cricket Club!

Well he was there before the start of play and I thought he took the field at 11.00 - but when I heard him say that he might not be around at close of play, he was a bit abrupt - but that's sometimes the way he is.  I hope that all is well with his family.
Anyway, he's batting today.
What's the highest score ever by a Warwickshire number eight batsman?

Trotty out there this morning and at least, with Barker, showing some fight

Indeed... its not impossible that we could get away from this with a draw looking at the forecast.

A century from one of our tail end batsmen would be nice ;-)

Where would we be without Trotty. Some star

Yep... well done to Singh for keeping out there with him.

The tail has put the "batsmen's" performance into context.

Indeed.... a fair amount of batting to do as the follow on is enforced.

2 down already.

Some may see my words as harsh but I feel we are a disgrace currently

Nothing disgraceful about today's performance

..... there are still eight overs to go..... the difference between disgrace and fight has by and large been down to Trott.

Better performance today, by Trotty and the tail. But overall we're so far short of good enough that relegation seems inevitable. We're just not competing.

The word "legend" doesn't quite seem adequate for Trotty now. I hope whatever was keeping him away from the ground yesterday has been happily resolved.

When it became obvious that Trott wouldn't bat in the top six yesterday I did wonder if the least disruption to the batting order would have been to move Ronnie up to number three. What might have happened if we'd done that? Anyway, we need to hold out until lunchtime tomorrow after which, the deluge will save us. Eight wickets - and at least one of them is Trott.

Unfair to say we are not competing
