World T20

Now that the squads have been announced, it looks as though Boyd Rankin and William Porterfield will be the only Bears on show.  So, hyberbophobes apart, we had best dress in green and have our shamrocks at the ready.

Its going to be a super sexy 3 weeks that I'm looking forward to :-)

It will be interesting which of the two 'minor' nations will come through from the two qualifying groups. Ireland and Netherlands are both in the same group...... and I still remember Netherlands "doing us" at Lords. Scotland stand a chance of getting through. This is a great competition and hopefully will help the game advance in the upcoming nations..... they need encouraging.

Scotland are on the brink of going out in their current match..... although things can change VERY quickly..... ;-)

Whats happening to Scotish cricket.... T20 should be an ideal launch pad for them?

Well that's it for Scotland then ..... Wooden spoon?

From the glimpses I've seen, there seems to have been some very high quality fielding in these initial preliminary games......

It's very disappointing for the team, and could have serious consequences for the game in Scotland.

Only 675 more images to go!

Current table, after the Oman game abandonment http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/world-twenty20/table

Ireland need at least one point from today's game with Bangladesh to retain any chance of qualifying for the tournament proper.

Scotland gone, Netherlands gone and Ireland gone.... England left to fly the Northern hemisphere flag!

Real shame IMHO.... All three countries would have benefited from a go at the 'big boys'

Saying that .... The weather has been a bit poor......

Asia isn't real hardcore northern hemisphere ;-)

I read somewhere that in 17 years Scotland have played 20 matches in international tournaments and lost 19 with 1 rained off. Is that really true?
