for all you music lovers part 2
I am currently reliving my C86 indie days. I discovered by pure chance that Secret Shine reformed a few years back and are about to release their 2nd album since then.

I got their CD today, i also got a single by Harper Lee who are ex-Brighter, and one of my favourite indie bands of all time. Sounds very much the same really, same vocalist does the trick!

Yeh that annoyed me Pete. I had to suffer through those untalented twirps the jedwards and that sex and the city star just to get one song from the editors.

For those of us who like Prog rock there's an event well worth seeing at the Assembly Rooms in Leamington Spar on May 8th & 9th, the 3rd 'Progeny' festival

http://www.leamingtonassembly.com/EventInfo.aspx?id=176

Including on Saturday night a very rare performance by Twelfth Night, one of the leading 'neo prog' bands of the 1980's.

The actual venue is a magnificent Victorian hall with great acoustics and 3 bars, yes 3 bars!

Thanks for that TB

The Sunday night headliner is the original Marillion drummer, Mick Pointer and his band playing the first Marillion album plus other sogs from that period.

Twelth Night are definitely worth seeing on the Saturday. (I should declare an interest the lead singer Andy sears is a good mate.)

Pete drew my attention although he mentioned it was Minehead not Macclesfield. Its 30 years 3 days ago that Ian Curtis died and theres a walking tour in his home town Macclesfield.

I'm amazed that several of my fav bands are in there. I went for Joy Division but was tempted to vote for Radiohead.
