James Harris

Another player we are said to be interested in:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/19366400?
He's undoubtedly talented, though I tend to to think about him as Woakes-lite.
Anyway, our record in acquiring players in whom we've shown an interest isn't great.

Yes came through about the same time as Woakes. Would make an excellent signing. I wonder how many seamers we can afford to employ though. Our greater need is the batting.

Agree with you both - but as I don't need to balance the books I welcome all new players as you never know when injuries or England call-ups will deplete resources!
We met with Povey but we did not eat the biscuits.

Notts - bound would be my bet.

A seamer too many for us, IMO

Bowled well at Edgbaston in the Lions game the other week. Woakes was unlucky in that same game. The opporrunity to work with Graham Welch may bag us Harris.

Seems like Notts have made him an offer.

If you want to play for England then play for the Bears!

(Woakes we miss u we do)

And the next few weeks will prove if u want to win trophies then play for the Bears!

What else is there?

Sign on the dotted Harris . . . .

Seems we are not one of the 11 clubs after him.

Quite right as well

If you are approached by the greatest County in cricket and turn down the opportunity (James Taylor for one) you must be crakers.

I can think of only two valid reasons you would turn down The Bears:-

1) You are offered a better financial package elsewhere;

2) You don't think you are good enough to break into the team and play much first XI cricket. If you join an other weaker County you may indeed play more first XI games.
