Northants v Bears
#1
No news on Bears website but found this report on today's play in Seconds match on Northants website :

Ben batters the Bears

Ben Howgego stroked a superb century as Northamptonshire had a mixed day at the start of their Second XI Championship match against Warwickshire at the County Ground.

The 20-year-old summer contract batsman hit 134 off 227 balls - including 16 fours - as the County recovered from the shock of losing three wickets in an over early on to reach 292 all out.

Mark Nelson (32) and trialist James Brookes (43) provided the best support - Howgego and Brookes sharing a vital eighth-wicket stand of 84 after the middle order failed to fire.

And Brookes - who has appeared for Surrey 2nds this season - rounded off an impressive day by picking up a couple of wickets as the Bears closed on 52-2 in reply.

I see James Ord has made two hundreds in two games for Warwickshire now. I've seen the lad play once and he looked impressive. Lets hope he can continue this form and push for a place in the first team. We ceratinly need one of the younger batsmen to break through.
