Congratulations to Ricardo.

Having watched him for both Warwickshire 2nd XI and for Moseley in the Birmingham League, I can verify the genuine pace that he delivers the ball at. Naturally bowling so quickly usually leaves less room for error as batsmen will punish anything loose for boundaries (similar to Boyd in this regard). He put in a key performance in the Bears 2nd XI's last session victory over MCC Young Cricketers 2nd XI at Edgbaston last season, taking three of the last five wickets to fall on a dead batting pitch.

On and off the field he seems a jovial character, reminded me of Makhaya Ntini when watching him for Moseley, with the vocal encouragement that he gives to bowling colleagues, even when his own bowling is suffering.

That's a good comparison, he is also studying and when we played back to back 20 20 @ Cardiff he did an exam in the morning and played in the 2ND game.

Genuine pace is such an asset, you either have it or you haven't but you can fine tune other things like not bowling no balls. Look forward to watching him bowl.

Cricket Archive has him as Recordo Olton Gordon, so that may well be right:
