yep, finish jul 10 though, if he's picked. So may only miss the Sussex game.

Has looked a bit gone as batsman recently mind...

Would prefer Katich.

He arrives in July ( I assume next week) for the rest of the season. Star player and really looking forward to seeing him score a few.

good question. After Westwoods ton its hard to leave him out. We could change the balance of the side I guess. My gut feeling is it will be Maddy once again.

Shiv will be the 5th West Indies test captain to play for Warwickshire.

Good effort, all except Gibbs were captain for at least one game.

Chanderpaul's also not a bad leg spin bowler - with a decent average - though he hasn't bowled much recently (didn't bowl at all for Lancs last season) - an option that Mo didn't give us.
You can take the boy out of Atherstone, but you can never take Atherstone ........... !

He hasn't bowled since 2007 in Test cricket, don't get your hopes up.

He gave up bowling years ago - mainly because it was rubbish!

Cricinfo:

Quote:The runs, though, aren't coming for Chanderpaul. He has spent 852 minutes at the crease in his last six innings, but managed only 165 runs at a strike-rate of 29.41. Dominica may not be the last-chance saloon but it's pretty important that he gets some runs.

Lets hope Ishant plays him into some form.
