Enjoyable day's cricket, in lovely sunshine in the afternoon, with a good crowd for 2nd XI game and a wonderful cold buffet, desserts and cakes.

From the Bears being on 182-3, 12 wickets fell for only 110 runs, before Clare and Whiteley posted an attacking century partnership for Derbyshire's 6th wicket.

Derbyshire's seamers bowled good line and length then spinner came on and took three wickets. Warwickshire bowled excellently to reduce Derbyshire experienced top order (included Borrington, Madsen & Redfern) to 59-5 before Clare played an excellent attacking innings. Thought Piolet was the pick of the Bears' bowlers, good long first change spell.

Yes packed to the rafters, not a spare seat in the ground.. To be honest, they do things very well at Walmley. They lay on nice food and tea at 50p a cup. Kings Heath did a marvelous job last year as well.

If you are going by train its a mile or so from chester road station and about 2 miles from sutton. Either way you want the 115 bus which you get off at the top of penns lane. If you want to walk from chester road. You turn left out of the station then left again and right when you see the signpost to Walmley, penns lane...

Kim, you go to new street station, go across the road into boots and buy some sun cream.
