India.I think they must be favouirites with the IPL, just finishing. All thier players will be very much in 20/20 mood, where other teams won`t have had all thier players playing thier. I think we will get knocked out in the second stage again, but hope i am wroung.

England. The combination of the 10th keeper and the 16th opening pair in just 26 T20s will confuse the opposition and we could field an awesome batting line up (esp if we play Bopara instead of Wright - sorry SS).

Dreadfull keeper worries me though.

Im rooting for Afghanistan.

yes id like to see Afghanistan be competitive - low and slow pitches in my view are likely which negates Aus and SA in particular and makes it a wide-open tournament, which is great - i think the home team actually might win it, which no-one has mentioned

as I said on another site.

India will not win this, probably wont even make the semis.

Poor pace bowlers apart from Zak.

Fielding apart from Raina, Rohit, Gambhir and maybe Yuvraj(if he has shed 10 pounds) is below par.

Batting is frail with Yuvraj and Gambhir not in form and Raina, Vijay and Rohit not even proven at international level.

India's whole tournament will rely on Dhoni and he will probably take us to the super 8's(if we beat Afghanistan ) and then we will be knocked out, slated, effigies burnt and we can play Sri Lanka again in a test series.

Ever the optimist.

Anyway, Aus have surely gotta to win it this time!

Paul's man Dilshan fails yet again, really poorly this time.

Jayawardene shows the perfect way to play on these pitches.

Mahela was top class. Dilshan not in form. Wonder if Sri Lanka have enough. Sri Lanka were the best team in the last t20 world cup but Pakistan performed best in the final. I dont thinks Pakistan will do it again. Between Sri Lanka and India for me.

Good start for Greatbatch.

It looks more like Vettori is making all the decisions in this team if I am honest.

Good result for NZ!

How will England fare with ten and a half men?
http://expressbuzz.com/cricket/pietersen...70159.html
If he's standing under a skier and someone in the crowd says "She's gone into labour!", will he stay to take the catch?
Bearing in mind that it's about an 8 hour flight from Barbados and presumably he hasn't got a private jet standing by, he must (unlike his wife) be hoping for a long labour.
I'm all in favour of fathers being present at the birth oftheir children; but I wonder if he wouldn't have been better to have missed the tournament altogether.

Add on travel to the airport, waiting for the next scheduled flight to England, waiting for luggage/customs, travel to the hospital - he won't make it in time anyway.
It's all a big distraction that the England team could do without, and is bound to attract criticism if Pieterson's performance is not up to par.

Quite amusing by England, the top 3 in the batting order were born in Johannesburg, Johannesburg and Pietermaritzburg.

I wanted Bopara to play instead of Luke Wright.

I rock.

Its strange that Englands best batting performance results in a defeat. Farcical though wasnt it! The opening pair did their jobs and Morgan and Wright were the finishers. Poor that nobody knows whats going on on the sky sports team with regard to d/l. Nick apart who was puzzled by the stupidity of the other two.

Was a farce but oh well game didnt matter.

I'd laugh if it happened in the semis though.

If it happened to India, we'd probably try and sue the ICC.

WI got to 60 for 2 after 5.5 overs.

England were 60 for 1 after 6.

So it was a farce but not as farcical as all that
