Warwickshire v. MCC Young Cricketers SEC 19-21 April
#1
Warwickshire squad to face the MCC Young Cricketers in the Second XI Championship on 19-21 April at High Wycombe:

Darren Maddy
Nathan Newport
James Ord
Steffan Piolet
Ateeq Javid
Jonathan Webb
Richard Johnson (wk)
Keith Barker
Paul Best (Captain)
Calum MacLeod
Andrew Miller
Tom Milnes

Looks like a good team, good to see Maddy back in action (hopefully see him in the 1sts soon the way things are going!), as well as quite a few of the rest of the team having 1st team experience of some sort.

I understand from people at the ground today that Thursdays 1 day match will be bolstered by members of the 1st team.
By the way the Clubhouse do serve very good food, parking is a bit more difficult though.

Yes Jane, I think Brian Halford mentioned in his blog that the 'full strength' 40-over team would be playing... will be interesting to see our 'top 11'.

Double century for Darren he was dismissed for 250, Richard Johnson 100. So the future is not too glum.

Richard was busy getting coaching from Keith P on Friday afternoon in the indoor school. It is good to know that both RJ and KP have not been totally forgotton.

By the way Jane, Kings Heath came runners up in the Bill Lloyd Trophy Under 11's (I think) Fox Hollies won AGAIN. Which is a bit ironic, as from what I was told they were the only school without a local CC.

Whats the standard of the bowling they are facing? It looks like the SET game on thursday with us playing a lot of our first teamers will be very one-sided.
