West Ham have just signed a 17 year old - David Nouble - from Chelsea who Chelsea were desperate to keep and Arsensl were chasing very hard as well. Carlton Cole Mark 2 apparently

Must be awful to suffer an injury like that and be out for a season.

Here we go again!
Happened a couple of years with Faubert in pre season.
Got the match on now, and they've only been playing 10 minutes when Boa Morte gets carried off.

Not long till the deadline now.
No point doing the deal if it doesn't leave us enough time to get Chamakh's signature.
Fiorentina have made a bid for Upson today too. I don't think we can afford to lose both Upson and Collins.

Chamakh doesnt come across very keen to join, does he?

I miss the good old days when we all had a clue about whether who we bought were any good. I can remember realising Boogers was going to be another rubbish Redknapp (OUT!) buy in the warm up to his first game, as players who run around like slow turkeys seldom do well.

Haha, good old 'Arry!
He did buy a few turkeys, didn't he?
But he also took a gamble on Paulo di Canio when nobody else would have touched him with a bargepole. One of West Ham's all time greats now.
And now he wants to buy David James. Dear, dear.

I see that there are loads of bets being placed on Harry leaving Tottenham. Hmmm.

http://www.bettingpro.com/category/Footb...910030059/

"I'm definitely not leaving. It's absolute nonsense.

"I couldn't be happier. I love it here and I have no intention of leaving."

Harry yesterday

"I wouldn't go anywhere else now, definitely not, I mean it this time, that's for sure, not a chance, this is the end for me, this is the last job for me...this is where I wanna be. I love being here."

Harry Just before leaving Portsmouth for Spurs a year ago. .

Kim that was different.

He saw Portsmouth were going up the s***.

I dont think its true unless he has been sacked.

Probably similar when everyone was convinced Rafa Benitez was leaving after he walked out a meeting.

Why was that then? Lets trace his managerial career.

Bournemouth after he left - in administration

WHU after he left - a day from administration but Chelsea bought Glen Johnson and paid the whole fee up front to save us. Fire sale of palyers

Southhampton after he left - administration. Fire sale of players

Portsmouth - virtually in administration.Cant pay wages even after fire sale of players

Hes either terribly unlucky or terribly incompetent. I wonder which it is?

Yes the Portsmouth situation is a bit worrying. Paul Hart coming out and saying that the players will be paid their wages on Monday, I am not convinced. They are relying on Al-Fahim securing a 50 million pound loan... Thats not the way to run a football club. Spurs next on the list haha!
