Didn't Trotty sign a contract committing himself to play for Warwickshire when available. signing an ipl contract would put him in breach of the contract with Warwickshire.

Unless he gets the clubs agreement, and the club are totally compensated for his absence, he should be expected to honour his contractual commitment. Ideally all clubs would take a similar line.

IPL is in March/April, so we are not playing in March as far as I know and then he will go to play for England vs Bangladesh in April. So he wont be missing any games that he should of played...

And counties have taken a line since IPL1. Its not new news, a player leaving his county for the IPL...

I see that he has registered for the IPL auction:
http://www.cricket365.com/news/story/582...PL-auction
As the article makes clear, that doesn't mean that he will be bought - last year, 100 registered, 50 went into the auction and there were only 17 slots available. But it's another indication that we may not see too much of him as a Bear in 2010.

IPL is before the season Terry. See above.

And Monty signed up lulz :P

Trott could get signed up tbf but then 3 weeks availability only and then you have players like Afridi, Aamer free for the whole comp so it's not likely.

I thought the IPL went on until 25 April, by which time we will have played 3 matches - and the Bangladesh games (I think) are not until May. Anyway, it looks like he (along with the other English players) hasn't made the cut:
