Qn 1. Who, if anyone, is going and when.

Im aiming for Sunday and, maybe, Monday.

Qn 2, Who replaces Bell?

My guess, Barker

Yes i should be going, see what the weather is like before choosing days.

I think Ord, a specialist batsman.

I think me, a specialist sugar man

Seriously I would pick Piolet or Ord as we need a batsman.

The problem is that only Trott out of the specialist batsmen which includes Ambrose is getting runs at the moment, so do we replace Bell with an all-rounder or a specialist batsmen? Ord is 21 so if hes going to make in county cricket he needs to be given a chance.

It says a lot that the person who should be 'next in line' Poonia isn't considered at all.

For what he would give us in all aspects of the game I'd go for Piolett, least of all he can provide some of the overs our supposed 'main all rounder' can't be trusted to bowl.

I am intending to go to all the cricket Worcester and the Somerset matches over the next week or so. So be warned take the wet suit, it was okay at the Durham match and again at Sussex........... untill I walked through the gate. Didn't even have to leave home to get the Glam match off.

As for the replacement my choice would be Stefan Piolet or Keith Barker in that order.

I'd like to see Piolet given a go but I dont believe hes made a 50 this season for the seconds

Kim will be right as usual. Piolet hasnt done anything with the bat in seconds and Barker has already played so he is 1st choice.

From what I read in the Worcesteer News they are struggling to find a bowling attack, with Only Mason of their first choice seamers avalable and despite playing more like Nora Batty, it seems Gareth Batty is safe as the alternative spinner, Ian Fisher, is injured.

I think a win by an innings and 200 runs.

Bears will bat first and get about 600-2

A dream of a Frost 100. A Rikki Clarke 5 for. And Barker taking a stunning catch.

In my dream it was a Rikki 100 and Frost, our new demon bowler, took 5fors in both innings.

I agree with TB!Poonia appears to be way down the pecking order.I do think that he is at the stage where he should be pushing the senior players never mind not being in the frame when they are not available.
We may as well give Ord a chance as he has shown a bit. This is just a thought folks. How about opening with Trott as I'm sure he can do the job as a proven number 3 & giving Frosty & Ord a chance to bat a bit lower down?I feel a bit sorry for Frosty as he is doing a job for the team (as he did last night) but not one to which he is suited. :001_smile:

I am not a optimist at all. I predicted a loss yesterday. I am a proper pessimist. But I am changing after my dream.
