Aston Villa, and other football teams!
Villa back to the playoff final! Two really good games of football between well matched teams. Over the season as a whole, I thought the Baggies had the better squad but Villa's late season momentum saw them through.

Excellent game tonight... so its Villa v Derby.

An interesting & very well written, article from the NY Times about one of the co-owners of the team from the "lower grounds".

Always interesting to read about things from a different viewpoint.

Good one, they would need to win to avoid getting punished under the P&S and FFP regulations.
There are many clubs in breach of those regulations and a president for the penalty has been set.

It is only fair that a breach of greater magnitude than that committed by blues receives a proportionately greater penalty.

As for the game, may the best side win.

Ahh not felt that nervous watching a game for a long time!!

Plenty of potential with new owners, hopefully keep some of our loan stars from this season

Very good to see that Birmingham City have signed a deal to provide a home for the homeless Coventry City next season.
With the complexity and legal issues surrounding Coventry City, their owners and the Ricoh Stadium, this could be the start of a long term deal.

Ron Saunders died yesterday. Manager at Blues, Villa and the Baggies most of the West Midlands have reason to mourn. I don't think it is being overly Villa-centric to suggest that his greatest achievement was to develop a system that allowed a small group of unfancied players to become Champions of Europe. RIP

It's been very quiet here this winter but I would just like to point out that WE'RE GOING TO WEMBLEY. Again.
