Mum's a Villa fan and she can't stand Downing. I on the other hand support that other team...
Would that be the second best team in Birmingham.......Villa reserves? :)
maybe Walsall :001_tt2:
Villa are not going to be able to get real top quality players but a player like Downing who is a current England international and has his best years ahead of him is the type of player who move the club forward as long as we dont sell Young of course.. I think Young will still be with us next season.

From what I have read today Stuart Downing gave MON a list of names and asked him what the future was with them - one of them being Young. MON's reply was that they are going nowhere.

The main lesson from last season had to be the lack of depth in the squad so it would be pointless to bring in Downing and get rid of Young.

Luke Youngs 17 year old brother was killed in a fall on holiday today. Sad.

Tragic news.
You never get over losing a young brother, and my heart goes out to Luke and his family.

A fantastic result for Villa last night. We went back to 4-5-1 formation and it suited us much better. Just to wind Kim up Reo Coker was magnificient. I think thats the first premiere League game he has played in central midfield for us in nearly two years.

I thought I'd misheard when they said he'd won Villa the penalty. How did he ever get in the penalty area? How did he get on the pitch?

:cursing:
We are signing a Serie B striker for £5.5 million** today - Alessandro Diamanti - so I dont care. He got the move because he went to the Livorno President's office and started weeping when they said he couldnt go.
Oh dear.
**this may mean Villa are buying James Collins from us for a similar fee.
I like James Collins

(although he's no Marlon :P)

I wimped out of following the score last night fearing the worst, this morning when i saw the score i thought it was a mis-print.
So MO'N is God again after being the worst manager in history prior to last night of course.
