Aston Villa, and other football teams!
Villa fans would be too much in shock if the Blues got to a final so boo them Paul.
Chris, don't ask why Windy. No please don't. No.

That was after the lancashire game where Naq took his career best figures. How did your experience of Wembley go Andrew?

Andrews reply:----------
Paul, as below:-

1/ On way down on train at around 830 lads drinking cans of beer!!
2/ Inside stadium very very expensive!!
3/ Downing is a bit lightweight (sorry Jane)
4/ MO'N should have (IMHO) made more subs - maybe brought Delph on
5/ Travel away from ground after is a bit touch
6/ Views of the pitch fabulous
7/ Could be back if beat Reading on sunday
8/ More Man U fans wore yellow and green scarves than red and white
9/ Heskey played in midfield
10/ Lots of kids which was nice to see
11/ Lots of escalators to get up nd down - nice for asthmatics like me (tortoises or not).
12/ Long queue for conveniences
13/ Area around ground is dump
14/ Milner covers a lot of ground
15/ Programme cover useless
16/ £4 minimum for a pint
17/ They check bags as you cannot take bottled water in - I put in coat pocket so could take in!!
18/ £8 for a pie and a pint
19/ £5 for a slice of pizza (I think)
20/ No trouble between fans
21/ Cold
22/ £2 for a bottle of water (I think)
23/ Can get overground or underground back into London after game
24/ Programme £7
25/ Did not see Uncle Pete
26/ Lots of vendors on Wembley Way selling tack
27/ Wembley arena looks a dump (from outside)
28/ Pitch very heavy - cannot shut roof
29/ Good jazz band on concourse
30/ Good day out

Anyone else not see 30 coming after reading the previous 29?

Yeah, the green and gold campaign is in motion from United fans.

It reads more like a masochists' convention.

Sorry Andrew can I just question point 3 about Downing. Firstly he has miised all the preseason work. I have noticed that he does bottle a few challenges but hes an excellent footballer with good pace and I can easily see him playing down the lefthand side for England on the world cup. Anyway I think hes added a new dimension to Villa and we are much more of a passing side since hes been in it. Having said that the game he had at wembley was one of his poorest for some time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He wont be on the left for the world cup.

His england performances have been appalling.

I'd play this but he wont:

----Lampard-Barry)----
--------Gerrard--------
Lennon-Rooney-Milner

Rooney is becoming so good in the 4-3-3.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
His England performances havent been bad. He hasnt played that many games anyway. I think he has every chance of playing some part and so Cappello has hes in the first England squad since hes become fit. Lampard and Gerrard should not play together and it has never worked.

Reply
Yeah but Gerrard ahead of Lampard is different as Gerrard plays the role he does so well behind Torres for pool.(ok not this season :P)

this would probably be Capello's first team for the WC.

-----Hart/James/etc etc-----
Johnson----Rio----JT----Cole
Lennon--Lamps--Barry-Gerrard
--------Rooney--Heskey-----

Btw Paul, this is why I do the merging ;)

Oh shut up DD I was tired. Thats close although I wouldnt be at all suprised if Milner became a first choice for England even ahead of Gerrard

That was a proper cup tie. I thought we were dead and buried first half. Start saving the pennies Andrew!

He has been brilliant lately, but certainly the same cant be said for the rest of the players against Wolves.

Martin Oneill has had a go at the villa boo boys and says the club doesn't want fans like that. Ok he has done a great job at Villa with the help of an injection of cash from Lerner, but I find a certain amount of arogance in that these people are paying good money to watch the team and managers shouldnt be telling people not to come because you never know when football might become unfashionable like in the 80s and crowds will drop.

I dont agree with booing but i dont think a single villa fan understands MON's tactics. Cuellar at right back when we have an England right back on the bench. Continually playing Heskey despite never looking like getting a goal. Never using subs until the game is nearly over. Hes a very stubborn man.

I never have rated him that high to be honest though he has been better than most recent managers except for Big Ron.

Disarray mmm, not quite Pompey or Hammers-esque leaves of disarray though is it?
