England v Australia - Terry - 14-01-2018

Need to whisper it with caution but England might just win a match against Australia.
Just to prove that there's nothing new under the cricketing sun, I've seen two players (one in the Big Bash and now Jason Roy) play the old-fashioned dog-leg draw shot between the legs, as favoured in Victorian times.  I think, too, that Nat Sciver played it in the Women's World Cup.
The MCG is enormous, of course, but it doesn't look like a massive crowd - there were well over 30,000 in the (covered) Etihad Stadium for the recent Big Bash game.

Excellent work from Chris Woakes in the last couple of matches, especially with the bat.

Yes... he has performed well in the 50 over game. We seem, as an ODI side, able to score 300 more often than as a Test team at the moment.

I liked the chant from the England fans: "We're going to win 5-4!"

Could be due to bowling and fielding restrictions

Great stuff from England, well played so far from Chris, bet Ali can't wait for it to be all over, even if his bowling has got a little bit better. The 1 day series in NZ looks like it will be a tougher test the way they are playing at the moment. The under 19 world cup reaches the 1/4 finals tonight we play Australia, in the last game our own Liam Banks scored 120 so good luck to the team, and keep up the good work Liam.

I really hope so :-)

Surprised that this evening's T20 international is not yet a sell-out - still time to get a ticket:

Not many empty seats.... I was a bit shocked when I purchased some for the EH stand.... £61 each face value for what is normally one of the cheaper stands. It was a good evening .... But it seemed a bit pricey to me? Is T20 being used to keep the red ball game going?

Attendance was 24,227 which apparently is higher than for any of the ODI matches between England and Australia this season.
It looked like a big crowd and a great atmosphere.

It was Terry.... The people I took really enjoyed it :-)
